Insulation & heating cable

Additional insulation of pipes and hoses in the ground is necessary in Sweden if you cannot dig down to a frost-free depth.

We at Avloppscenter have experience with different types of insulation and sell different products that have different benefits.

The need for insulation varies greatly depending on climate, soil conditions, snow cover and the temperature of the water in the pipes.

Extra heating cable needed?
If you have insulation around the hose, you almost always need additional heat in the form of heating cable.

When using ground slabs laid as a large cover, the heat of the soil coming from below is used as a supplement.

The most common different types of frost protection are:

– Digging deep into the ground
– Insulated hose with heating cable
– Insulated hose without heating cable
– Pre-insulated hoses with or without heating cable
– Insulation boxes where several hoses and pipes can be combined with or without heating cable.
– Awning insulation boards laid as a cover over the pipes
– Insulation to put loosely on the outside of pipes.
