Elevation collars

A tank to be placed underground should, as far as possible, be placed under a good amount of backfill (normally a maximum of 1 m).
Some tanks can cope with higher overfilling, ask us for advice.

The groundwater level must never exceed the bottom of the lowest tank penetration, which is usually the outlet pipe (penetrations are only sealed from the inside)
