Check valves

Having a flood in your house means great discomfort and a lot of extra work The financial compensation you may be able to get from your insurance company or from the water company never outweighs the inconvenience and damage you may suffer.

A non-return valve protects the property against water from the street sewer entering the basement through floor drains and other sewage devices Make sure that no sewage devices other than those coming from the basement level are located upstream of the non-return valve The valve can be installed under the basement floor or in a special well outside the house A non-return valve works automatically and can usually also be closed by hand The non-return valve requires regular inspection Follow the manufacturer’s maintenance instructions! Keep in mind that a poorly maintained check valve will not provide flood protection in the worst case.
