Water analysis wastewater

The complete package for wastewater sampling.

Some types of wastewater facilities require you to take water samples to make sure that the wastewater is clean enough. Your sewerage permit will tell you if sampling is required, what samples you need to take and how often.

Values that are sampled are:
BOD7 (oxygen demanding substances in the water)
tot-P (amount of phosphorus in the water)
tot-N (amount of nitrogen in the water)
E. coli (bacteria)

The samples are analyzed by an accredited laboratory Synlab. It usually takes about 2-3 weeks to get an answer. The analysis comes on PDF on your email.

How to do it:
In the cooler you have received there are two sampling containers.
The labels on the containers are unique and you fill in your details.

Take the sample in the appropriate place, consult us if you are unsure.

The provided cold packs should be frozen when you submit the sample.

Temperature if you have the possibility to measure it, remember not to measure in any of the sample vessels. The sample label is a free text field so that you as a customer have the opportunity to write something specific to the sampling.

At SGS drop-off points, you can drop off pre-packed coolers, which are picked up the same day after the deadline and transported to the respective laboratory.

Drop-off points change during the year, the current list can be found on this website:

– The sample should arrive at the laboratory on the day it is taken, but no later than 48 hours.
