Incinolet is gentle on the environment and works without water and sewage. Urine and feces are incinerated and turned into odorless and bacteria-free ash.

The American Incinolet is the original, continuously developed and optimized since 1959. Incinolet is by far the market leader in the USA and Canada and is sold in many countries around the world – Quite simply, the world’s best-selling combustion toilet.

The Incinolet is highly reliable and easy to use and maintain. We have achieved this through high-quality components, well-thought-out design and a minimum of unnecessary features.

Robust and safe
The Incinolet is a robust and highly reliable incinerator toilet, designed to ensure a long service life. Thanks to the high quality of all parts of the toilet, use and normal maintenance such as emptying the ashtray is very easy to perform.

The toilet is also modular and the design is well thought out, so any replacement of spare parts can often be done by the cottage owner himself.

Safety first: as Incinolet is sold in many parts of the world, the toilet is tested for many countries’ safety requirements. In addition, Incinolet is certified by the US Coast Guard and by NSF – The Public Health and Safety Organization. To our knowledge, no other incinerator toilet can match Incinolet in terms of approvals by independent and reputable testing institutes.

Power consumption, dimensions and weight
The Incinolet consumes between 0.5 and 1.0 kWh for each combustion. By continuous use, energy consumption is reduced. The burning time can be adjusted, if necessary, according to the user manual.

A safety thermostat switches off the heating element if the temperature of the air space inside the toilet exceeds
60°C. A safety thermostat switches off the cooling fan when the temperature of one of the outer walls of the toilet is 50°C. The thermostat
switches the cooling fan on again if the temperature in the outer wall would exceed 50°C.
An additional safety thermostat switches the heating element off if the temperature in one of the toilet’s outer walls would reach
a temperature of 160°C. These three overlapping safety thermostats, in addition to the safety devices that
are part of the toilet’s function, were added to the concept many years ago.

Installation of Incinolet toilet

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION:
Model TR1800 and TR3500 are produced for connection to the Swedish mains and are supplied with a standard earthed plug.
The difference between the two models is that Model TR1800 only requires connection to a socket with a 10A fuse, i.e. a standard socket. Model TR3500 requires connection to a 16A fuse.

LOCATION:
The toilet can stand freely on any type of floor and does not need to be fixed to the floor. If there are heating cables in the floor, the toilet should be built up 10 mm with spacers so that the air circulation underneath is better.
The Incinolet combustion toilet can be placed in both heated and cold rooms.
Distance to the walls is a minimum of 11 cm from the back wall when the ventilation air is led out through the wall and 23 cm when the pipe is led to the ceiling inside the room.
Distance to the wall is 10 cm, on the left side and 17 cm on the right side seen from the front.

VENTILATION INTO THE TOILET SPACE
Ensure that the room is supplied with plenty of air. Absolute minimum
ventilation opening of the same diameter as the vent (Ø110-125 mm)

NOTE
If the toilet room has a ventilation fan, this cannot be in operation while the toilet is in use. The ventilation fan can ‘overrun’ the fan in the toilet and cause odors in the room.

The Incinolet must be fitted with a ventilation pipe for the discharge of cooling air. The supplied rubber sleeve with hose clamps must be used when fitting the ventilation pipe.

USE AND FUNCTION
The Incinolet is based on electric heating/combustion of feces, urine and paper into clean ash, which is emptied regularly from an ash box at the front of the toilet. The toilet is emptied of ash once a week or more often, with normal regular use.

The toilet is operated with just two levers. After use, the waste is dropped into the combustion chamber with a pedal. The incineration process is then started with a start button. Then you just leave the toilet for the next user.

Sometimes it may be necessary to add a little water to the bag to increase the weight so that it falls completely. The toilet can be used by several people in succession while burning is in progress and it can also be left while burning is in progress. For short absences, the plug can remain in the socket, but at the end of the season and
longer absences it should be unplugged.

When the start button is pressed, the combustion starts, which is timed by the manufacturer for a combustion period of approx. 70 minutes. Combustion takes place in intervals with pauses. Power is only consumed during the intervals when combustion is in progress.

At the same time, a cooling fan starts and runs continuously throughout the combustion period and for some time after it has ended.
In rooms with heating cables, this time is slightly extended. Here, 4 spacer blocks (approx. 1 cm high) should be
retrofitted under the toilet, to avoid too high a temperature on the underside.

The task of the cooling fan is not to remove odors – a Platinum catalyst takes care of that – but to cool down the combustion chamber which can have a temperature of up to 6-700°C.
The timer activates a temperature control unit. When the heating element reaches 650°C, the controller cuts the power to the heating element.

When the temperature has fallen to about 540°C, the power is switched on again. The heating element is switched on and off several times a minute throughout the combustion period.
On its way out of the cooling fan, the hot air passes a platinum catalyst consisting of a perforated box filled with pellets. The catalyst ensures that the ventilation air emits only a slight burnt odor.

The ash from the incineration is collected in an ash box accessible from the front of the toilet.

When cleaning the inner bowl, empty out the ashes, then put the bowl in hot water.
Use an old dish brush to wash out the bowl.
Then rinse with hot water and wipe the bowl dry.
Do this every time you empty the bowl to keep it nice and free of hard particles.

SAFETY
A safety thermostat switches off the heating element if the temperature of the air space inside the toilet exceeds
60°C. A safety thermostat switches off the cooling fan when the temperature of one of the outer walls of the toilet is 50°C. The thermostat switches the cooling fan on again if the temperature in the outer wall would exceed 50°C.
An additional safety thermostat switches the heating element off if the temperature in one of the toilet’s outer walls would reach a temperature of 160°C.
