UNIPAK Pipe Putty is a gray, high viscosity sealant consisting of a soap product with mixed, naturally occurring minerals and viscosity regulating oils and water. All components are permitted as additives in food and similar products. UNIPAK Pipe Putty is used together with sealing yarn for sealing threaded joints in pipe systems for cold and hot water and low pressure steam.Together with sealing yarn/linen, UNIPAK Pipe Putty provides absolutely tight threaded joints while facilitating assembly and subsequent separation.
In addition, the use of UNIPAK Pipe Putty – in contrast to, for example, thread tape – provides great flexibility in connection with the adjustment of the pipe joints as these remain tight when screwed back.
