The uniqueness of the Tykoflex M42 universal joint is the female if you compare with a Bauer, perrot or ANFor, which are equivalent couplings in the universal joint family of quick couplings.

What is different is the special lever locking that provides extra security on the clutch and is very easily worked.

The M42 universal joint is the easiest to work with over a long period of time, as it is made of very high quality steel.

INCLUDED PARTS
– Spherical trade with guide bush
– Female part with O-ring seat
– Ring and hook system mounted on female part.
– O-ring

LOCKING SYSTEM
– Ring and hook system are mounted on the female coupling.
– The hook system consists of an articulated ring.
– Lower hook and upper hook with lever are mounted on the articulated ring.
– When engaged, the lever locks in a safe “over center” position. This means extra safety by the lever locking harder with increasing pressure.

SAFETY LATCH
– The spring-loaded safety latch is mounted on the top hook.
– When the lever is engaged in the closed position, the safety latch automatically locks the lever in the locked position and prevents accidental disengagement.
– When disengaged, the safety latch is released by pressing down on the front edge to release the locked position of the lever and allow it to be folded up.

ANGLE
– The design of the coupling and the articulated hook system allow angling in all directions. The coupling allows 10-15° of angulation depending on the coupling size.

O-RING
– The heavy-duty gasket in its seat ensures adequate tightness for both pressure and vacuum, even when transporting media with a coarser structure.
– The heavy-duty O-ring itself displaces minor contaminants and seals securely against the trade.
– NOTE ! It is always important to ensure that the coupling provides adequate tightness before the line is put into operation.
– The gasket is available in a variety of materials depending on the media and temperature.
