  • Check valve with filter on the suction side.
  • pem ball valves
  • Sea-line weights (if you have a lake intake)
  • Raw water pump capable of flow and pressure 2.5-5 bar
  • Additional supplementary tank 60- 330 liters to cope with large variations in flow rates.
  • Extra intake filter if needed.
  • Antifreeze

Applications

Water purification from a lake (bacteria, humus, etc.)
Or almost any other raw water source

Advantages
Low energy consumption
High raw water yield (approx. 50%)
Automatic fault diagnosis
Easy to service and maintain
All-in-one solution
Adjustment-free
Long membrane life

Function
The cleaner works fully automatically, and it is recommended that the cleaner is kept running for the season of use.

Raw water is pumped to the central unit by a feed pump, which can be a normal well pump, a water dispenser or a submersible pump.
The pump should have a suction strainer to prevent larger rocks, sand or algae from entering the appliance, where they can damage the pump and prematurely clog the central unit’s pre-filter.

After the pre-filter, the high-pressure pump raises the water pressure and feeds the water to the patented membrane filtration circuit.
The pressure is automatically regulated depending on the quality and temperature of the water. The normal pressure varies between 8-16 bar.

In the membrane filter, the clean water (permeate) is forced through the filter by reverse osmosis. This allows salts and other substances dissolved in the water to be enriched with the water present in the feed circuit (concentrate).

The openings of the membrane filter are in the 0.1 nm size class; all larger particles, ions and molecules are thus filtered out. In practice, almost only pure water manages to penetrate the filter. For example, the smallest viruses are 15nm in size, 150 times larger than the membrane openings. The smallest bacteria are about 200nm, i.e. 2 000 times larger than the openings in the membrane.

The strong concentrate is removed from the circulation via the return hose back into the sea/lake or into the sewer.

The purified water is collected in the clean water tank.

The reservoir is equipped with a level regulator, which via the control logic shuts down water production when the reservoir is filled. Similarly, it starts production when the level in the reservoir has dropped sufficiently. There is another level controller in the reservoir that prevents the use of the distribution pump if the reservoir is too empty.

The control logic also ensures that the product automatically cleans itself after each refill by circulating clean water=permeate through the filter unit for four minutes.
This rinsing function improves the quality of the cleaned water and prevents the membrane from getting dirty. This significantly extends the life of the membrane filter.

The cleaned water is pumped by the distribution pump from the reservoir to the point of consumption.

The traditional delivery pump has been replaced in the device by the HybridFlow technology, which delivers the water. The delivery is at the same pressure as the incoming water. To minimize the risk of water damage, also turn off the distribution pump if you are away from the point of use for long periods. A major advantage of this technique is that you do not need an extra pump.

The recommended replacement interval for pre-filters is 4 months, or more often if necessary. The replacement interval depends on water consumption and the quality of the raw water. Timely replacement of prefilters prevents the membrane from clogging, which in turn helps to keep the quality of the permeate as well as the yield of the unit at a good level.

Installation

The central unit is installed, for example, in a room for various appliances, in a shed or a place where it is protected from rain.

Do not place the product in direct sunlight. Choose the location of the product so that it is as easy and as short a distance as possible to run the hoses both to the raw water source (sea/lake) and to where you want to use the purified water.

We recommend installing shut-off taps before and after the appliance.

The pressure of the incoming water must be within min 2.5 – 5max bar. The unit will not start if the pressure is higher or lower.

  • Connect the external pre-filter to the unit’s “IN” marked 1/2″ UTV connection with a flexible mounting hose.
  • Connect the incoming water line from the raw water pump to the external pre-filter 3/4″ INV connection.
  • Connect the clean water network to the unit’s “Water Glass” – marked 1/2″ UTV connection with a flexible mounting hose.
  • Connect the return water hose to the 13 mm hose nipple with hose clamp and place the other end of the hose in a floor drain, for example.

ATTENTION! The blowdown hose must not be clogged or choked. If you take the raw water from a well, do not return the water there, as this would cause the water in the well to be enriched by the salts.

Maintenance

The unit is easy to maintain and all maintenance operations can be carried out by the customer.
Maintenance mainly consists of changing the pre-filter when needed.
Typical pre-filter replacement interval is 2-3 times a year, depending on water consumption and raw water quality.

Nero products are manufactured by Finland’s largest manufacturer of osmosis plants Finnvoda Oy, which started in 2011 and has delivered about 1,000 osmosis plants
