Separate sewer
Separate sewer
If you have a property that is not connected to a municipal sewer, you have a responsibility to manage your individual sewer so that there are no environmentally hazardous emissions and that there is proper documentation with permits for your particular sewer system. There are good reasons to spend some time evaluating the best option if, for example, you are renovating or buying a property and to invest in an individual sewer that is really tested for Swedish conditions.
Every plot of land is unique and has its own requirements for a suitable drainage system. Is your plot steep or flat, small or large, earthy or rocky? What are the soil conditions and proximity to watercourses? Whatever the circumstances, we have a drainage system for you. To find the right one, there are a few points to consider.
Combining the planning of water & sewage (VA)
Plan water and sewerage systems simultaneously to avoid problems in the future. A small household can use a small system while several households need a larger system. Why not take the opportunity to check with a nearby neighbor if you can share sewerage systems and also costs? There is minimal maintenance so it is easy to share an individual drain. Don’t undersize the individual sewer as your house may be extended and the conditions of the sewer system may change. Choose the system according to whether you will connect to a toilet (WC) or whether it will only be for bathing, washing up and laundry (BDT).
Location of individual sewers
How sensitive is your household’s environment and what rules apply in your municipality? Your municipality can provide information on what applies to your particular plot.
Operation and maintenance of private sewers
Sewerage systems are simple but require some maintenance. All plants collect sludge that needs to be collected by a sludge remover. Plan how the sludge remover will get to the site and how large a sludge store is economical for you.
We also have technology for our own sludge management.
