Preventing and Removing Urine Scale in Vacuum Systems

What Is Urine Scale?

When urine reacts with minerals in the water, it forms a thick, hard deposit known as urine scale on the inside of wastewater pipes.
This buildup restricts flow, reduces the vacuum system’s performance, and can lead to blockages—particularly in horizontal pipes or sections with dips.

Regular Maintenance for a Cleaner System

Use Jets Toilet Clean regularly when cleaning the toilet.
It prevents the formation of urine scale and, unlike conventional cleaners, does not foam—which is crucial, as foam can impair the vacuum pump’s ability to generate suction.

Jets Descale

Effective Long-Term Treatment for Urine Scale Blockages

Jets Descale is a long-acting cleaning agent designed to dissolve stubborn urine scale deposits within the piping system.

• Dosage: Use 1 dl per flush and allow the product to work for at least 24 hours.

• Coverage: Each flush treats approximately 10 meters of piping.
  For example, if the distance between the toilet and tank is 50 meters, repeat the treatment five times consecutively and let it sit for a minimum of 24 hours.

This procedure should be performed as needed or at least once per year.

💡 Note: The amount of urine scale that forms in a vacuum system varies depending on several user-related factors. For that reason, the optimal treatment frequency may differ from one system to another.

Jets Descale Gel

Routine Protection and Intensive Cleaning

To prevent future problems, we recommend regular use of Jets Descale Gel.
This product is applied by injecting the recommended dosage into wastewater sources or directly into the pipe network as part of a preventive maintenance routine.

Jets Descale Gel also works on severely clogged pipes.
For removing heavy buildup, isolate sections of the pipework and run an intensive booster program to dissolve the hardest deposits.

After flushing the system, maintain cleanliness and prevent new buildup by using Jets Toilet Clean regularly.

Dosing Methods

Jets Descale can be added to your system in two ways:

1. Directly into the toilets, or

2. Automatically via a dosing pump.

The total gel consumption is the same in both methods, but the dosage intervals differ.

When using a dosing pump, install it at the end of each pipe branch that serves one or more toilets.
Determine the total number of toilets connected to that branch, multiply by 1 cl, and set the pump accordingly.
Follow the same principle for the booster program.
