Mixed wells

Mixed wells

Drainage wells are placed adjacent to the property, preferably at its lowest point and closest to other connection points (municipal sewage network).

In the upper part of the well (1200-1400 mm from the bottom), storm water pipes from the building’s downpipes and the pipe from the house drainage are connected. At a level of about 600 mm from the bottom, a pipe is connected for further discharge of the water to the municipal sewage system or to a stone pit, depending on local conditions. This construction creates a sand trap in the well that prevents siltation further down the system. The well may need to be emptied of sand, silt, etc. if necessary.
