A2 Telescopic Flex
631,12 €
Complete telescopic A2 grating cover in ductile iron, designed for concrete manhole ø500mm. Grating cover on hinges with flex lock and point placement to minimize the risk of rattling.
Assembly
The well should be built so that the cover can be adjusted both upwards and downwards. The telescopic upper frame should “float/hang” in min. lOO mm of asphalt. The cover should be rolled in the hot asphalt and compacted well. The asphalt should be in full contact with the entire cover frame. Upon completion of the installation, the cover shall be “level” with the rest of the existing road. The upper frame should float/hang in the asphalt, NOT in the lower frame.
Tips/Advice
During construction, no vehicles may drive over the cover unless the cover has adequate packing under the frame’s bearing flange. The flange is not designed to withstand such loads unless there is adequate packing underneath.
To increase the life of the cover/frame
Ensure that there is no gravel/stone between the cover and frame. Gravel/stone damages the cover and can cause the cover to start “wobbling” in the frame, which creates noise when the cover is operated. Any rubber seals/damper rings on the cover are checked to ensure that they are whole and clean and can then be lubricated with lubricant/grease for easier installation in the frame.
