Aquatron’s UV unit utilizes both the water’s helical motion caused by the Meander Effect and the Threshold Effect (all particles are spun around and illuminated on all sides several times), which means that even suspended water is fully exposed and a very good bactericidal effect is achieved.
To verify the worst case diarrhea condition, a test was done with diarrhea in three liters of flush water and the sample was taken immediately after the UV irradiation.
The analysis shows that the effect is virtually 100% bactericidal.
One advantage of the Aquatron UV unit is that the liquid never touches the UV lamp, which means that the effect does not deteriorate quickly like some other UV systems on the market.
The lifetime of the two fluorescent tubes is about 4-5 years if they are on 24 hours a day, a buzzer sounds when a tube breaks.
The UV unit can handle 250 liters/hour, i.e. 6,000 l/day The approved test at SP is done at 468 liters/hour
Connection
Inlet 50mm socket
Outlet 50mm plain end
