DiaPure phosphorus filter 500kg with phosphorus recovery.
827,54 €
DiaPure® phosphorus filter 2.0 with phosphorus recovery option.
The business idea is to collect phosphorus as nutrient to recycle it.
The phosphorus recycling service will be launched in 2025 and is not included in the price.
- Natural Material
- Does not burn into cement
- Recyclable
- Win-Win (users as farmers)
- Less transport
- Cost-effective
- Normal PH (discharge may occur in water bodies)
The only phosphorus-binding material produced in Sweden, it is based on a natural and porous mineral that is coated with a layer of metal oxide to become phosphorus-reactive.
Approximate time between bag changes for year-round residents:
Based on the sorption properties of the filter. (PE= number of persons in the household.)
5PE 2-3 years
4PE 3-4 years
3PE 4-5 years
1-2PE > 5 years
Shipping will be added, you see the price at checkout depending on your address. Available for pickup in Västerås and Alnarp.
Size of the bag
Volume 650 liters
Diameter: 84cm
Height: 120 cm
Weight: approx. 500kg
Hose from the bottom of the bag is included
Other sizes are available for order.
Installation
The filter is normally installed after a soil bed or in a sewage treatment plant.
The filter is connected to a hose at the top that goes down to the bottom of the filter where the water is distributed and rises up through the filter material.
Replacement of filters
In general, you should handle the old bag of phosphorus filters yourself.
Contact the municipality that receives it as household waste, sometimes they have an agreement with a contractor who does the replacement.
We do not recommend spreading the contents in your own garden, as the nutrient content is too high for a residential plot.
Discharge (recipient)
DiaPure phosphorus filter is approved for use everywhere as it has a normal PH level and does not destroy the recipient.
Technical data
Brownish red granular material
Particle size: 2-4 mm (>83 %), 0.09-2 mm (<17 %)
Bulk density: 0.6 kg/L
Total porosity of filter columns: 80 %
Specific surface area: 40 m2/g
Water holding capacity: 1 L per kg dw of filter material
Flow rate: Up to 10 L/s for 1 m3 filter with hydraulic head
of 1 m
Phosphorus binding capacity: 10 g P/kg
DiaPure phosphorus filter media is made of natural diatomite material coated with metal oxides using a new vacuum technology.
The resulting 2 – 4 mm porous filter grains have a high and long-lasting phosphorus binding capacity while maintaining high flow rates.
The filter material is usually used in filter columns and beds.
The filter works for both low and high phosphorus concentrations such as drainage water (< 0.5 mg P/L) and domestic wastewater (> 10 mg P/L) and provides treated water with > 90% reduction of P loads.
Handling
DiaPure material is a non-combustible material. No physical, health and environmental hazards.
Dry material may generate dust during handling. Wear gloves and a dust mask if handling dry material.
Storage and handling
DiaPure material is stable and should be stored dry.
No safety measures during transportation.
Toxicological and ecotoxicological information
DiaPure material has properties similar to soil.
No toxicological data available. Not dangerous for the environment.
Disposal
Materials can be disposed of as non-hazardous mineral or soil.
Used material from domestic wastewater treatment, to be treated as hazardous waste due to content of pathogenic microorganisms (ask your local municipality)
