Typically, the non-return valve is used in connection with the connection point at the property boundary as extra security against leakage if the pipe is damaged on the property. The non-return valve should be installed flat with the arrow UP and in the FLOW DIRECTION. It can also be installed with a slight upward slope in the direction of flow. See sketch.
The non-return valve can also be used in the pipe network for hydraulic reasons, e.g. to control the flow and to eliminate the risk of sedimentation in sensitive areas.
Meets the requirements of EN13244 and EN12201.
