If the outlet of the pressure line is lower than the liquid level in the pumping station, there is a risk that
the pumping station and associated pipes will be emptied by siphoning, by the negative pressure, until air gets in between and breaks the siphon.

Trapped air can cause an air lock in the pump, so the pump must be filled manually before restarting.

The siphon switch is a valve for air that opens at negative pressure in the pipe and lets air in. Once air has been released into the pipe, the flow rate must be high enough when the pump is running for the air bubbles to move past any downward sloping pipe sections.

INSTALLING THE TAPPING JACKET
– Remove the valve body from the tapping jig.
– Place the tapping jig on the pipeline in the pump well below and as close to the check valve as possible. Tighten the bolts.

INSTALLATION OF THE VALVE HOUSING
– Drill a 20mm hole in the center of the grommet on the drilling jig.
– Then mount the valve housing in the drilling jig.
– Aim the outlet wrap downwards towards the bottom of the pump station.
