BAGA Oil separator

BAGA Oil separator

oil separator

An oil separator is installed to prevent the discharge of undesirable substances such as oil and gasoline into the wastewater and stormwater system.

An oil separation system consists of a sludge and separator part. In the sludge part, the water is purified by sand and sludge sinking to the bottom. In the separator part, the unwanted substances settle on the surface.

Oil separators are classified as class 1 or 2 depending on how much oil remains in the spill or stormwater after separation.

To meet the requirements of class 1, the separator is fitted with a coalescing filter, the purpose of which is to cause the oil droplets to coalesce and finally rise to the surface. A class 2 separator works on the gravimetric principle and has no filter.
