Preventing Urine Scale Build-Up in Vacuum Systems

The Problem: Urine Scale and Mineral Deposits

When urine reacts with minerals in water, it forms a thick, hard layer known as urine scale on the inside of wastewater pipes.
This buildup restricts flow, reduces vacuum capacity, and can eventually cause blockages.
In particular, horizontal pipe sections and fittings are vulnerable, as mineral deposits can also corrode valves and pipelines over time.

Effective Solution – Jets Descale Gel

To prevent and remove these issues, we recommend using Jets Descale Gel.
The product is applied by injecting the recommended dosage into wastewater sources or directly into the pipe system as part of routine maintenance.

Jets Descale Gel is also effective on heavily clogged pipes.
For severe buildup, we recommend shutting off individual pipe sections and performing an intensive booster program to dissolve the toughest deposits.

Once the pipe system has been flushed clean, continue using Jets Descale Gel regularly to prevent new scale formation.

Dosage and Application Methods

There are two main ways to apply Jets Descale Gel in your system:

1. Directly into the toilets, or

2. Automatically using a dosing pump.

The total amount of gel used is the same regardless of method, but the dosage frequency differs.

Recommendation for Automatic Dosing

When using an automatic dosing pump, it is recommended to install one at the end of each pipe branch connected to toilets.
Determine how many toilets are connected to that branch, multiply the number by 1 cl, and set the dosing pump accordingly.
Use the same procedure for the booster program.
