Controller for Jets

Controller for Jets

The VTS controller is used to regulate the flushing of the toilet and to start and stop the Vacuumarator® pump.

All VTS controllers are delivered pre-programmed and configured for one toilet.

The distance between the VTS controller and the Vacuumarator® pump must not exceed 2 meters. You can place the controller where it is easily accessible, but we recommend that you mount it close to the pump, as this makes it easier to set up and possibly program.

What a controller (VTS Controller) does in Jet’s vacuum toilet system

The controller acts as the ‘brain’ of the system. It monitors and controls pumps, valves and sensors to keep the system working properly.

Main features

  1. Starting and stopping the vacuum pump

    • In VOD/Flexi systems, it controls the pump to run only when someone flushes.

    • In CVS/FlexiPlus, it ensures that the pump maintains a constant vacuum within a given pressure range.

    • In VIP systems, it receives a signal from a motion sensor (or other sensor) and starts the pump only when someone is in the room.

  2. Pressure and level monitoring
The controller reads vacuum sensors and ensures that the pressure is kept within the correct level for flushing to work. If the pressure gets too low or too high, it controls the pump accordingly.

  3. Valve control
It coordinates the opening and closing of valves so that vacuum is distributed to the correct toilet/flush point.

  4. Protective functions

    • Can stop the pump in the event of a fault (e.g. overload, leakage, or if sensors show abnormal values).

    • Ensures that the system does not run unnecessarily → increases the life of the pump.

  5. Sensor integration
In VIP solutions, the VTS Controller is used together with motion sensors, which send a signal to the controller → it wakes the system from sleep mode.
