Leijon pump accessories

The Leijon pump has been manufactured since 1947 and stands for quality and tradition. The pump is made for our Nordic climate and developed to withstand severe cold, thanks to its construction no water can freeze. This means that the pump can be left outside all year round. The pump is made of aliminium, which gives a long life as it cannot be attacked by rust

Assembly instructions for the LEIJON pump
At 3, 6, 9 and 12 meters, the suction pipe (10) is not fitted.
The non-return valve (11) with suction strainer (12) is fitted under the pump cylinder (2) on delivery.
At 15 m, a plastic pipe (suction pipe) (10) is fitted under the pump cylinder (2), whereby the suction strainer (12) is moved to the lower suction pipe (10).
From 18 m, two plastic pipes (suction pipes) are installed under the pump cylinder.
A drawbar sleeve (7) is screwed onto the drawbar (8).
Insert the drawbar (8) into the plastic pipe and lower the pipe set into the casing and build up with 3-meter lengths to the desired depth.

On the threaded end of the plastic pipe, wind 4 turns of thread tape, making sure that it does not twist, and that there are only 4 turns of tape.
Now pull the plastic pipes together by hand. NOTE! do not pull more than the thread is long.
Turn the sleeve end upwards on the plastic pipes all the time.
For a more secure hold, use pipe wrenches or a pipe clamp.
A frost hole is drilled on the last plastic pipe. This pipe is fitted with a union coupling (6) which is connected under the stand (1).
The drawbar now protrudes from the plastic pipe.
The top drawbar 1 m (fully threaded and plastic coated) is cut so that it protrudes 0.99 -1 m* above the union coupling (6).
NOTE! cut at the end where the plastic cover covers the entire thread.
Then peel off the plastic cover by 15 mm.
*This is important so that the pump piston does not hit the upper or lower part of the pump cylinder. lower gable.

Remove the pump head (16) from the stand (1), lift the stand onto the drawbar.
Tighten the union coupling under the pump. Put the stand (1) down on the feed pipe (13). Thread the rubber washer onto the pull rod sticking out of the stand.

Fit the pump head, the tree on the 4-edge washer and the spring on the drawbar.
Remove the drawbar bearing (14) from the lever (5).
Thread the drawbar bearing 30 mm onto the drawbar (to the end of the plastic cover). Mount the lever (5) on the pump head resp. tie rod bearing with nylon washers under nut and bolt head.

The stand shall be cast or fixed with a mounting plate (4) (optional accessory).
Install counterweight (15) at depths from 33 m (optional accessory).
