Now we can offer a UNIVERSAL-LOCK for those who still have the heavy concrete lids that are on many wells or want a ductile iron cover instead of a plastic lid.

Suitable for tanks with plastic, fiberglass and concrete necks with dimensions from 600 to 700mm.

The Swedish Work Environment Authority’s regulations 1998:1 on load ergonomics state that the manhole cover must not weigh too much. The pulling force required to remove the manhole cover must not exceed 300 N, which means that the cover must not weigh more than 25 kg. If the manhole cover is to be lifted off, it must not weigh more than 15 kg.
To avoid accidents, it is important that the cover is sufficiently stable and cannot be opened by children.
The property owner or tenant is responsible for ensuring that manhole covers are secure and that manholes are not left open without supervision
