BioKube is a turnkey mini sewage treatment plant, which is supplemented with a conventional sludge separator of about 6m3.
BioKube Venus is a biological-chemical mini-treatment plant designed for 1 household. The biological treatment of organic matter takes place in a submerged, aerated filter bed (biofilter). The chemical treatment consists of adding a precipitation chemical to remove the nutrient phosphorus. BioKube Venus is intended for biological-chemical treatment of sludge separated wastewater and is thus complete with a sludge separator. An existing sludge separator (three-chamber well) can be used if it is in acceptable condition (complete and tight).

BioKube is made of PP plastic (polypropylene).
Height 220 cm, diameter 150 cm and weight 450 kg.

Venus consists of two purification chambers for biological purification, a chemical tank with dosing pump, pump well with inlet pump, technical box containing electronic control unit and two air pumps, alarm unit included.

Biological treatment
BioKube’s treatment method is based on a natural, biological treatment process with bacteria that break down the organic material and the nutrient nitrogen in the wastewater. Biofilters are used to create good conditions for the bacteria. The bacteria are supplied with plenty of oxygen by aerating the biofilter in the two biological treatment chambers.
Biofilter is the basis for BioKube’s efficient biological treatment. It has a large total surface area, where purifying bacteria form a biofilm. The biofilm has the property that it grows and increases in efficiency as the wastewater load increases. In addition, the filter is maintenance-free due to its special design; dead bacteria etc. (sludge) are sucked back through its unique design with return flow to the sludge separator.
Chemical treatment
The nutrient phosphorus is removed in a chemical treatment process, by adding precipitation chemicals to the return flow, which then precipitates the phosphorus in the sludge separator.
Controlled flow
The continuous treatment process is regulated by time-controlled pumping of small volumes of wastewater at a time. BioKube is thus not significantly affected by variations in the wastewater load during the day, which makes a stable, optimal and good treatment process.
Return flow
The biologically treated wastewater is pumped back to the sludge separator, where the final decomposition of the nitrogen takes place in the anoxic environment. The return flow of the wastewater has a number of positive effects, including maintaining the biological treatment capacity during periods of non-use. BioKube is therefore also suitable for holiday homes and other facilities with uneven wastewater flow.
