Latrine compost Roslagskomposten solves the problem of your toilet waste in the holiday home or year-round residence. With its large volume and high capacity, it composts both household waste and toilet waste in your holiday home.
The Roslagskompost is a latrine compost approved for co-composting of household and toilet waste. It is completely sealed at the bottom, the containers are made of rotationally molded polyethylene and the lid is made of galvanized sheet metal, which provides a long service life.
Use of the latrine compost
The two containers of the latrine compost are used alternately. Before use, a generous layer of peat moss or other suitable bedding material is added to the bottom. To avoid the compost becoming too wet, additional bedding material can be added. When container 1 is 2/3 full, container 2 is put into operation. Container No. 1 will now post-compost for approx. 12 months so that the contents are converted into nutrient-rich and odorless compost for use as a soil improver in the garden. The composting time stops in winter, which means that the composting time in northern latitudes is slightly longer
The Roslagskompost is made of recyclable polyethylene, with a galvanized sheet metal lid. The compost is easy to empty. The dry, finished compost soil is light, dry and odorless. Roslagskomposten is approved in most municipalities in Sweden. Contact the municipality’s environmental and health protection office for permission.
