IN-DRÄN Infiltration & soil bed

IN-DRÄN creates a very large surface for the biological treatment with bio-skin due to the folding of the fiber cloth like an accordion. The surface area of the IN-DRÄN module for biological purification is ten times larger than the bottom surface of the module itself. The design of the module means that the bio-skin always has access to oxygen.

The pores of the infiltration surface under the module are not blocked, while being protected against clogging. The distribution of water over the infiltration surface is also more even, with a favorable effect on purification. The combined effect of the above properties means that the infiltration area can be significantly reduced.

The modules are laid in a row one after the other with a spreader pipe on top. The entire string of IN-DRÄN modules is covered with non-woven fabric and backfilled with existing soil. There is no need for a distribution well as the installation is usually done in a string. Unlike conventional infiltration, an IN-DRÄN system always has the same length, for one household (max 5 pe), regardless of soil type.

What is varied instead is the width of the infiltration surface, from 1 m in permeable soil with LTAR of at least 30 to 5 m in denser soil. Thanks to the unique design of the system, only about a third of the surface area is required compared to conventional infiltration. Major savings are made by significantly reducing the need for excavation and backfill.
