Maintenance of the NERO EMPRO water treatment system requires periodic replacement of the pre-filter in accordance with the operating instructions. Clogged pre-filters cause malfunctions and the appliance should never be used without pre-filters. Do not attempt to clean the pre-filters, as they can be very easily damaged during cleaning.

The membrane filter should be replaced then, the output of the water cleaner has decreased too much due to clogging of the membrane filter. Usually the lifetime of a filter with proper maintenance is more than five years. You can drastically affect the lifetime by cleaning the membrane filter according to the operating instructions.
